Title: Channel Restoration and Floodplain Recreation in London’s Mud Creek Corridor

Abstract: On behalf of the City of London, AECOM delivered a ‘complete corridor’ approach to restoring conveyance for ~1 km of Mud Creek, along with the recreation of 70,000 m3 of floodplain storage. The Mud Creek restoration project has also seen the endorsement of the City’s first Two Zone Policy area, made possible by complex hydrologic and hydraulic assessment. This presentation will explore some of the technical aspects of the design and modelling along with the practical elements that supported successful construction and delivery of this ambitious project.
